REQUIREMENTS TO EXPEDITE U.S. PASSPORT
SECOND VALID PASSPORT
1.
Completed Passport Application Form DS-82.
- To ease the passport application process, applicants requesting expedited passport service through TDS must now use an online version of the form DS-82, rather than handwriting the required personal data.
- PASSPORT CARDS: The new Passport Cards cannot be expedited at this time and take approximately 4-5 weeks to issue. If you are applying for a regular passport only, please mark the box on your passport application next to "Passport Book". If you also want to apply for a Passport Card you should also mark the box next "Passport Card". There is an additional $20.00 government fee for the Passport Card and the Passport Card will be processed separately from your regular passport (in about 4-5 weeks) then mailed to you directly by First Class mail.
- If you require an existing second valid passport to be renewed for a further two years you will also follow these instructions. It is required to clearly show the need for continued use of the second passport.

Two recent
professional passport-type photographs
3. Completed
Cover Page and Credit Card Authorization forms (print using the Print button on your browser)
4. Most recently
issued valid passport. The passport must have been issued less
than 10 years ago, and the bearer must have reached their 16th
birthday before the passport issue date.
5. Proof of
the departure date from the USA is required (copy of itinerary
or air tickets, or letter on employer's stationery confirming
immediate international travel is required).
6. Letter
"Attn: U.S. Passport Agency" stating "I authorize Travel Document
Systems to pick up my passport and to discuss the status of my
application with the Passport Services staff." This letter requires
the original signature of the applicant in
BLUE INK.

7. Letter
signed by the applicant addressed to the Passport Agency explaining

Information
- Your
application will be hand carried to the U.S. Passport Agency.
There, the Passport Agent will examine the application and
if all documents are in order, assign a date the passport
will be issued (according to departure date from U.S.). Processing
time varies according to the departure date from the U.S.
Urgent
issue applications (which may be issued within 24 hours ), require proof of departure within 14 business days
of being submitted to the passport agency and MUST be shipped
Priority Overnight to TDS using only the FEDEX Company. Urgent
applications can be issued in 3 - 4 days,
less urgent applications are issued in 5 - 10 days.
- The second
valid passport is limited in validity to two years only and
can be extended with cause for two year periods. It is usually
issued only to frequent business travelers with schedules
showing difficulty obtaining required visas; or passport containing
Israeli entry/visa stamps and itinerary showing entry to mid-east
country which would deny entry.
