REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN VISA TO ENTER KUWAIT
Notice: Effective March 08 2004, the visa to enter Kuwait is issued upon arrival at border entry points for stay up to 30 days. An extension of stay may be applied for locally.

- Note:
For Visitor Visa, complete details of sponsor in Kuwait
must be provided. The original visa approval obtained
by sponsor in Kuwait must be submitted with the application.
Without visa approval from sponsor, the Embassy must
obtain approval from Kuwait.

your U.S. Passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validity

Passport-type photographs

- A business
letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your
company letterhead and addressed to:

D.C.
The
letter must explain all of the following:
- The purpose
of travel,
- Reference
in Kuwait to be visited,
- And state
that the company guarantees financial support for the visit
and return transportation.

Visa
Notes
- The visa
application MUST be presented on LEGAL size paper (8 1/2"
x 14"), preferably with typed responses, and will not
be accepted by the embassy if it is reduced or presented
on LETTER size paper.
- The visa is
usually valid for multiple entries for one year from
the date of issue, provided the passport remains valid,
for stay of up to 30 days each entry.
- Passport must
have at least six months remaining validity and contain
at least one blank visa page for visa to be issued. TDS
can assist with obtaining U.S.
Passports, whether new issue, renewal, or obtaining
additional visa pages for a valid passport.
- Special requirements
exist for U.S. Official and Diplomatic
passport holders.
REGISTER YOUR TRIP:
The U.S. Department of State encourages all American travelers to register with their local Embassy or Consulate when arriving in a foreign country. Registration helps the Embassy to provide important services for American citizens residing or traveling abroad. Some of these services include:

Locating individuals in cases of family or personal emergencies,
-
Relaying important travel and safety information about the region,
-
Arranging evacuation transportation in cases of natural disaster or civil unrest,

Issuing replacement passports when originals are lost, and
-
A number of other administrative services relating to personal documentation.
Without the information provided through registration, the Embassy is severely hindered in its ability to provide these services. Many of these services involve emergency situations and time constraints, therefore failure to register will almost certainly lead to delays at moments when you can least afford them.
