REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN VISA TO ENTER SOUTH KOREA

Offical or Diplomatic Visa

• Submit your valid, signed U.S. passport /must have at least 6 months remaining, and contain at least one blank visa page
• 1 Application form fully completed and signed
• 1 Passport-type color photo (black & white photos are not accepted)
• Completed Cover Page and Credit Card Authorization forms (print from browser)
• Letter from sending government agency, addressed to:
  Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, Visa Section, New York, N.Y
•  The letter should state the purpose of travel and dates of the trip.

Your application will be checked and hand carried to the Consulate office and is usually processed in 48 hours.

Visa Notes

• The visa is usually issued for a single entry for 90 days from date of issue, for period of stay of 90 days.
• NOTE: When completing the application, the Consulate office advises that the address and phone number in Korea must be completed.
